Life can be full of trials and tribulations, but that doesn’t mean you have to navigate them alone! As a therapist I am here to help guide and provide support through life’s difficult demands. I take a warm, non-judgmental approach that will make you feel at ease the moment we meet. Ultimately, you are the expert of your life and finding a therapist that resonates with you is essential to help work towards your goals so you can live your best life. I often practice from a strength- based approach, as I believe individuals are resourceful and resilient and are always doing the best they can. I understand that life can be verifiably hard and talking to someone you trust is essential. I have 10 years of social work experience primarily working in the health care and palliative care sector. Psychotherapist Bio
Hi, I’m Kate! I am a dedicated social work professional and psychotherapist with a strong commitment to supporting individuals, families, and communities in achieving meaningful and lasting change. With over a decade of experience in mental health and addiction services, I bring a compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered approach to care. My practice is grounded in respect, empathy, and a belief in each person’s capacity for growth and resilience.
My clinical background includes extensive work with individuals experiencing substance use challenges, concurrent disorders, and complex life transitions. I have provided both one-on-one counselling and group-based interventions, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to tailor treatment to each client’s unique goals and strengths.
I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward their goals.

** New Clients: Please contact info@stephaniemoffit.com before booking. Thank you! **
My therapeutic approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotion Focused Therapy. I focus on the mind-body connection and the various strengths of my clients. Because I use a variety of treatment approaches, I work with my clients to find the best fit. It’s important to me that you’re included in the process!
My goal is to support my clients in understanding their emotional experiences, and finding ways of engaging in life in a way that is both meaningful and fulfilling — despite the difficulties that life throws at us. Society often suggests that happiness is the goal, and any experience to the contrary means something is wrong with us. We find ways of fighting with our less pleasurable emotions, hiding from them, ignoring them, numbing them. Sometimes these strategies are a necessary way of getting us through highly stressful or traumatic events. They can work exceptionally well in the short-term, but long-term they can begin to hold us back. I’m here to support you in figuring out what’s next.
